New Co-oproduct website live today

After over 2 years in development our new website is live today. Thanks to the team and particularly Andy (our developer) for working so hard to get the site ready and online.

We're overjoyed to be able to finally switch on our new site for you all to see - it hasn't been easy. We are a small team and it's been a huge project working on something as large as this.

Since we first launched in 2012, we've been blessed with a considerable global audience with all types of people visiting us from 139 different countries of the world. We've received some awards (4 last year alone!) and built some strong international links with influencial organisations and individuals working in the area of sustainable design. We'd like to take the opportunity to thank you all for engaging with the work that we do.

The website isn't totally complete and will always be developing. You will see that we have introduced many new areas (for example, RETHINK, REMAKE, RESKILL) and we're continuing to work hard, populating these new areas with the best examples of Make-It-Yourself, Reuse & Longerlife Design. We are hoping that you will all help us by sharing your best work in this field and that of others that you think should be here. Please use the 'SUBMIT' area of the website to make us aware of this.

As well as the new 'RE' areas, we launch our first ever BLOG, where myself, Tracy & Kerry will be sharing all the latest developments of Co-oproduct and sustainable design from across the globe. We will also be adding new 'Featured Authors' in the coming months and if you would like to BLOG for us, please This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it." title="Get in touch">get in touch - we'd love to hear from you!

We hope you enjoy our new website, it's been a hard slog getting it to you - please let us know that you like it or anything that you'd like to see on here.

The Co-oproduct Team.

So the new website has been live just over a week now and we're ironing out minor problems here and there.

During the final upgrade from the old site to the new, we had to transfer over 250,000 files and whilst the transfer went well, it wasn't perfect - since we were transferring files from one database to another.

The new database is much better, but not a perfect fit with the old one and this has meant that some of those files didn't 'slot' into the new database perfectly. As a result, there are minor errors with text, images and some links which we're working hard to clean up. If you spot anything, please let us know.

Additionally, we've updated all the links to all the content with Google and others, so that all content can be found again. This also means that unfortunately, some of the old links have become redundant and will not work anymore. This includes many from external sources who have written, blogged/shared and tweeted about us and our work.

Unfortunately, there's little that we can do about this, other than update and make as many people aware of our changes as possible.

If you have shared any of our content, it would help us if you did this again now.
