This dress has gone through so many investigations and outcomes that I have finally come to the conclusion that using the actual physical umbrella was going to enable me to create this dress. I underwent paper form dresses but again thought that using scrap bits of material, the umbrella, Bin bags
Once again the trusty plastic shopping bag, where would be without some sort of bag to carry your shopping and in my case sometimes to cover my sketchbooks. The plastic bag is used and abused, it's thrown away after one time of using it (in most cases). But this bag can be heated, stretched, crimped
The textures that are present on an orange are quite impressive, with it's dimpling and the odd little 'battle scar' as I call it can be great to print with, it's also great to dry and sew into! I chose to go for an organic waste product as it's possibly the most common material that is thrown away
