Making Instructions (Login to see the full instructions)

Find off cuts of glass.
Once you have found a surface to work with, start thingking about colour and forms.
Cut the shapes out of the off cuts using glass cutters.Clean the glass using window cleaner or water to avoid frosty look after fusing.
If cutting through thicker glass that had already been fused before please use the glass saw. Always make sure there is plenty of water running to avoid small shards of glass flying off. Always wear goggles , ear plugs and an apron.
Once your happy with the cut out pieces, start the composition.you can use PVA glue to avoid the pieces falling off. it will burn off without leaving a stain.
once you have finalised your composition. The piece can be now be placed in a kiln.My kiln program was as follwed100 degree rise per hour until it reached 677.Hold that temperature there for 15 minsRise temperature until it reaches full power of 800.Hold the full power for 10 minsFull power continues until it falls to 486Hold for 30 minsDrop of 70 degree per hour until it fall down to 300 degree. The power is switched off.Naturally wait for kiln to cool down.Don't open the kiln until its 100 degrees or below as you might risk cracking the piece by exposing them to lower temperature too early.
Place the warm piece of glass on material that will absorb heat such as wood. Please do not place the warm glass on a cold surface such as metal, it may crack.
