Its a bowl made of little coils of tissue paper. I used the technique of paper mache for the basic structure of the bowl.

Making Instructions (Login to see the full instructions)

Cut the tissue paper into strips so that they can be rolled into straws.
Straw should be rolled as uniformly as possible.
Make a fold at one end and then begin to coil the straw. Its a little hard in the beginning but once you get used to it, the process will get faster.
Glue the end of the straw correctly so that it doesn't uncoil itself and maintains its shape.
Your paper coil should look like this once finished.
Use the same process of coiling with different coloured paper so you get a variety of such coils.
For the paper mache, tear the tissue paper into little pieces and keep aside.
Add 1 part PVA glue to 2 parts of water to make a thin paste of glue and water for the paper mache.
Blow up a balloon to the size you require. Using the water-glue paste start to layer the balloon with the tissue paper. You need to have about 6-7 layers for it to become hard and sturdy. Make sure you draw a line so you know exactly how much of the ballon you want to cover. You may have to leave this overnight to dry for best results.
Once your paper mache dries completely, you can start to stick your paper coil to it. You can either stick them close to one another or you can spread them apart/
Once you have covered the entire surface, leave the coils to dry for a couple of hours and then just pop the balloon using a sharp object like a needle.
Your bowl is now ready!
