5 - Take both collar stands and press 1cm of the large outside curve onto the wrong side6 - Take top collar and decorate with whatever waste materials you have (this can be done at the end but doing it now hides stitching)7 - Sew the embellishment on.8 - Pick up top and bottom collars and place the right sides together and sew 1 cm around the outside of the collar (leaving the raw inside curve unsewn.
9 & 10 - Turn the collar the right way out (so the embellished side is on the outside) and do a 3mm top stitch all the way round.11 - Pick up the collar stands and sandwich the bottom collar stand (right side up) , top collar (right side up) and top collar stand (wrong side up, matching the curves and notches and pin together. Then sew from point A to point B, securing all pieces together.
12 - Pull the collar stands down to be right side out and press flat, Top stitch 3mm around the inside of the top collar stand.13 - Sew down the edge of the collar stand to secure the top and bottom stands together.14 - Sew snap fasteners on the end of the collar stand.
