A delicate, attractive bracelet created from plastic milk bottles and decorative beads which can be personalised to your own taste creating an elegant unique appearance.

Materials & Equipment List

2 pt Plastic milk bottle, strong clear elastic, 3 x decorative beads in a colour of your choice, 6 x connecting beadsSharp scissors, piercing instrument, kettle

Making Instructions (Login to see the full instructions)

Wash and remove lid and plastic label from the milk bottle
Boil the kettle and pour the water into the milk bottle, this will cause the plastic to soften
Whilst the plastic is soft crumple the bottle, morphing it out of shape - wear gloves to avoid scolding one
Using sharp scissors cut into the plastic bottle and cut out a range of petal shapes all of a similar size. For the bracelet displayed above they should be slightly smaller than a five pence piece however you can choose how large or small you want them according to personal preference.
Pierce each petal in the centre
Measure the elastic to ensure it is the right length for your wrist and cut accordingly.
Tie a knot at the end of your elastic and slide the petals along the elastic one by one.
When you are a third of the way add the small bead then the larger statement bead followed again by the small bead. Repeat steps eight and nine until the elastic is fully covered.
Join the two ends of elastic with a tight knot and cut off any excess elastic.
