Udderly Beautiful is a protective ornamental ceiling Light shade. Delicately handmade, this attractive product thrives on its beauty and elegance. The term Udderly derives from the raw material used to manufacture it- being Recycled Milk Jugs.

Making Instructions (Login to see the full instructions)

Step 1: Collect Materials and Expendable tools.3 Recycled Milk Jugs, Split pins, A pair of scissors, a dry erase marker, 1 Metre wire & a drawing Compass.
Step 2: Cut the plastic milk jug vertically into 2 halves removing the top lid so that there is a direct cross- sectional cut. Do this to the other plastic milk jugs.
Step 3: Using the dry erase marker draw on the inside of each half a simple flower template. This can vary in size and shape. This variation gives the final product a natural appeal. (not all flowers are the same shape & size)
Step 4:Cut out each flower using a pair of scissors. Be careful of the sharp edges and watch out for quality control- have clean neat rounded edges.
Step5: Using your palm gently rub off the dry erase marker to ensure a neat finish.
Step 6:Using a drawing compass pierce a small hole into the centre of each cut out flower. This hole has to be wide enough to fit a split pin.
Step 7:Collect your Aluminium Rod and using any shaped bottle, hold the top of the rod and twist it around the bottle so the rod takes the shape of the bottle.
Step 8: Collect your split pins and put them through the hole of each flower. Attach the flower onto the Rod simply by splitting the pin and wrapping its legs around the rod.
Step 9: The technique to ensure a secure hold is to make sure the legs are wrapped around the rod clockwise and that the top sits above the rod not below it. This stops them from falling.
Step 10: Continue to repeat this method until the aluminium rod is completely covered
