Making Instructions (Login to see the full instructions)

Firstly collect 12 coke can bottles. Start by cutting of the top and bottom of the cans with a can opener, scissors or a craft knife. Make sure you cut the edges as straight as you can and be careful of the sharp corners!
Secondly cut down the side of the can vertically to make a sheet out of the can. Here are the two different types of Jean Paul Gaultier cans I will be using.
Thirdly iron the cans so they go flat. I found it helpful to lay the cans on a cloth and put it upwards as you iron along the can.
Next find a corset template to your preferred size and cut it out of paper to use as guidelines in the following steps.
Now pierce holes along the top and bottom edges of the can sheets, all 5mm apart.
Then cut the can sheets into the shapes of the corset guidelines (Step 4). Now sew the pieces together using a diagonal stitch.
Here is a picture of the four sections sewn to make half of the corset.
Next draw dots along the vertical edges all 30mm apart. This is to use as a instruction of where to punch holes for the ribbon to go through in a later step.
Afterwards punch holes using a twist gimlet. Be
10. Thread the ribbon through he holes, crisscrossing it diagonally and starting at the top.
11. Now pull the ribbon tighter and tie little bows at the ends.
12. Collect your 12 tabs and punch 3 holes in them using a bradawl.
13. Sew the tabs along the two edges for where the main ribbon goes.
14. The finished product.
